Community Health Link works with the Jackson County Department of Public Health to produce a comprehensive Community Assessment every four years.

The 2003 Community Assessment is a compilation of data gathered from the community and from existing public documents and other published materials. The assessment has been performed to provide county information to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Information and the State Center for Health Statistics and to provide information to the community regarding current needs and assets.

The data in this assessment report isused by the community and its agencies and organizations to prioritize projects and programs and to develop the rationale for funding these programs.
